Melbourne Storm were founded in 1997, and were initially a Super League venture, however have competed in the NRL since 1998. They are the first club from Victoria to be admitted into the NRL, and have competed in six grand finals, winning four of them. Due to salary cap breaches discovered in 2010, however, they have only retained two of their premierships.
